When your energies turn toward leaf raking and storing your patio furniture, it is also time to winterize your irrigation system. Be sure you have your winterization completed before the first hard freeze. Failure to properly winterize your system can cause significant damage to pipes, valves, backflow preventers and other expensive components. Don’t risk it!

Beware of do-it-yourself winterization methods. Avoid use of a home air compressor to flush your lines as it will generate more pressure than air volume which will result in damage to the equipment. Winterization needs to be performed by trained personnel as running components too long with air can also damage internal parts. Leave it to the experts.
